PvP: the Arena and duels
Brackets, rating, Arena Marks and dueling rules.
The Arena
- Team battles against other players: 2v2, 3v3, 5v5. Queue from Sunderkeep or any zone; the Arena Master is in the Bastion.
- Skirmish (practice) or rated. Rating starts at 1500; the top 20 show on the leaderboard, and 1550, 1600, 1800, 2000 each have an achievement.
- 30 seconds to prepare behind the gates. Dampening: from 120 s, healing and absorbs are cut by 10%, 1% more every 5 s, up to 90%. A match ends after 10 minutes.
- One potion per match. Revive and Rebirth work once per ally, with a longer cast.
- Arena Marks: skirmish 10 for a win, 3 for a loss; rated 30 and 10, up to 350 a week. Russell Crowbar at the Arena Gate sells the Arena set for them; its head and shoulders ask a personal best rating of 1550.
- Warden's Marks too: skirmish 4 for a win, 1 for a loss; rated 8 and 2. At most 40 a day from the Arena.

Duels
- Challenge a player in the same zone within 30 m, from their menu or with /duel. A challenge lapses after 30 s.
- A flag marks the middle of a 30 m ring. After a 3 s countdown the fight starts; leaving the ring for 5 s forfeits.
- A duelist who drops to 1 health loses. After 2 minutes the higher health share wins. /forfeit gives up.
- Between players: damage 45%, heals and shields 60%, armor counts 50%, dodge 30%, crowd control lasts 50% as long. Hard control in a row lands full, half, a quarter, then not at all until 15 s after the last one.
- Heals, buffs and revives from anyone else don't reach a duelist.
