The Wayfarers
Every map on the keep's Map Table was drawn by a Wayfarer, and every one of them is wrong in at least one place, which is how the Wayfarers like it: a finished map is a boring map. Edda Farrow keeps the table and the guild's records, which are mostly arguments about who found what first.
Wayfarers walk into the parts of the map nobody has colored in yet. They dig up buried chests, track down the rare beasts the locals only whisper about, and read the Wanted posters on the Notice Board the way other people read poetry. The guild was founded, they say, by Captain Harrow, who never found his way home. His spyglass did.
They have one rule: if you find it, you tell the table. They have a second rule, which is that the table does not ask how you found it. Wayfarers get along with everyone except the Lakewardens, who keep asking them to stop fishing treasure out of the ponds and put it back.
